Cousin Ernest

Created by Haydn 3 years ago

I have fond memories of visiting cousin Ernest and his sisters at Southey Green in the early 1950’s. He was always known as ‘young Ernest’ in the family because of Uncle Ernest, his and my father’s brother. I was always impressed with all the boxing trophies Ernest had won. He had a cabinet full but was always very modest about it all.

Contact has been pretty sparse in the intervening years, but we did have a good night out in Grenoside just a few years ago, when I went up with my lads and Darren, my sister Barbara’s son.

So Glad we had recently got together - in our 80’s.   You really were one of the good guys!

Love and Best Wishes to Yvonne, Debbie, and Dominic.    xxx
